About Us

Our Story

Alexander Jordan® was born out of a passion for fashion and a desire to make women feel confident and empowered. Our founder, Alexandra Jordan, grew up sketching designs for dresses, pants, tops and more. As a teenager, she taught herself to sew and brought her visions to life.

Alexandra’s interest in fashion only grew stronger when she left home for college. She reveled in putting together outfits that expressed her personal style. But she found it difficult to find affordable, high-quality pieces that fit her body type.

After graduation, Alexandra began working at a boutique clothing store. She loved helping women find flattering, comfortable clothes. But she also saw the limitations of the store’s small collection.

Alexandra dreamed of launching her own line – one centered around real women’s bodies and preferences. She wanted to make pieces that were both stylish and functional. And she hoped to keep costs low so everyone could enjoy the confidence boost that comes with looking and feeling your best.

In 2015, the Alexander Jordan® brand was born. We started off with a small collection of leggings, pants, blouses and dresses in Alexandra’s apartment. Word spread quickly about our comfortable, curve-hugging designs. And we grew rapidly as more women fell in love with our mission.

Today, we offer so much more than leggings! Our collection includes all kinds of bottoms, tops, dresses, activewear and loungewear. But our commitment to female empowerment and body positivity remains the same. We can’t wait to help you feel amazing in our clothes!

Our Fabrics

The right fabrics make all the difference in clothing. That’s why we carefully select and test all of our fabric to ensure quality and comfort.

The majority of our collection is made from midweight stretch cotton, rayon and spandex blends. These fabrics contain plenty of cotton for breathability and softness. Rayon adds lightweight drape and flow. And spandex provides four-way stretch for the perfect custom fit.

Our fabrics are:

• Opaque – No show through here! Our fabrics are thick enough to keep you covered.
• Stretchy – Our proprietary fabric blends contain spandex for incredible stretch and recovery. The four-way stretch moves with your body.
• Soft & lightweight – You’ll be comfy thanks to our breathable cotton and rayon fabrics. The midweight feels substantial yet lightweight on your body.
• Durable – Our fabrics hold up through countless wears and washes. We put our pieces through rigorous testing and wear trials.
• Moisture-wicking – Stay cool and dry in our workout gear! The moisture-wicking performance fabric keeps sweat from clinging.

Leggings

Our leggings started it all! We’ve perfected the custom fit and comfort through years of testing. Our proprietary fabric blend doesn’t bag out and contains plenty of stretch for all-day wear. Choose from three rises:

• Mid-rise – Our mid-rise leggings sit just below your belly button for all-around comfort.
• High-rise – The high-rise leggings come up to your natural waist for tummy control and confidence.
• 7/8 – Our 7/8 length leggings are perfect for petite legs! Enjoy the same custom fit in a shorter inseam.

We also offer leggings in capri and full length. Explore waist-shaping, faux leather, moto and printed looks too!

Pants

The perfect pant for work, weekends and everything in between! Our pants come in both pull-on and button-down silhouettes. Like our leggings, they’re made from stretchy, substantial fabrics that hold you in. Choose from these fits:

• Bootcut – This gently flared leg is flattering for all! The bootcut balances curvy hips and thighs.
• Straight leg – Our straight leg is slim through the hip and thigh, then falls straight from knee to ankle. It creates a tailored, elongating look.
• Wide leg – The wide leg billows out from the hip to the ankle, creating an effortlessly chic silhouette.
• Joggers – Our joggers have a tapered leg, elastic cuffs and drawstring waistband. Perfectly sporty!

Jeans

We’ve created the perfect jeans – sculpting high stretch denim that lifts your shape. Our jeans contain extra spandex for stretch and feature tummy smoothing waistbands. Choose from:

• Skinny – Hug your curves in our skinny jeans. This slim silhouette highlights your legs.
• Straight leg – Our straight leg jeans are slimming through the thigh with a straight fit below the knee.
• Bootcut – Our signature bootcut flatters hips and thighs! Feel comfortable and confident.
• Shorts – When it heats up, slip into our stretch denim shorts. We offer a 5″ and 8″ inseam options.

Dresses

Flatter your shape in our signature dresses! We design silhouettes that nip in at the waist to accentuate curves. Choose from fit and flare, wrap, sheath and maxi dresses. Our fabrics stretch and move with you as you go about your day.

Tops

The perfect top pulls any outfit together. Choose from:

• Blouses – Look polished in our woven blouses. We use lightweight, flowy fabrics like chiffon, crepe and rayon. Details like ruched sleeves, tie necks and asymmetrical hems keep these tops modern.
• Knits – Our soft knit tops move with your body for endless comfort. We love cold shoulder and dolman sleeve shapes.
• Tank tops – Every wardrobe needs great basic tanks! We make soft, lightweight tanks in solid colors and fun prints.
• Tunics – Our signature tunics are long enough to cover your bottom and slim through the waist. Wear them with leggings, jeans or trousers.

Loungewear

Our casual loungewear lets you relax in style. Choose from:

• Joggers – Stay comfy in our stretchy cotton joggers. Details like side pockets and cuffed ankles keep them polished enough to wear out.

• Sweatshirts – Our crewneck sweatshirts keep you warm while looking cute.

Our Commitment to Quality

Alexander Jordan® proudly designs and makes the majority of our clothes in the USA. Producing domestically gives us better oversight into the entire manufacturing process. We take great pride in the quality of our pieces.

We closely monitor production to ensure our fabrics and construction meet our quality standards. Before pieces reach our warehouse, they go through multi-stage product testing. This includes fabric quality assurance checks, wash and wear trials and fit consistency evaluations.

Items only ship to customers once we’re fully satisfied with the quality. Pieces that don’t meet our bar get flagged and fixed. This hands-on approach means you can trust that our clothes will meet your expectations.

For ultimate peace of mind, we stand behind our products with a 30 day return policy. We want you to be thrilled with your purchase!

With proper care, our clothing is made to last for countless wears. Follow the wash instructions on the garment tag to get the longest life from your pieces. Avoid heat and rough treatment that could damage the fabrics.
